Xenomorph Tarot Card Project
About This Project
The Xenomorph Tarot (working title, may be changed) is a full double sided colour 78 card tarot deck with a separate fully comprehensive accompanying guidebook.
The Xenomorph's design was originally featured in H. R. Giger's book Necronomicon. Within its franchise, the Xenomorph has been referred to as a "creature", "serpent", "beast", and "monster". The heart of the Xenomorph Tarot is designed to take to these interpretations and offer an alternative view; to instead inspire wonder, magic, and celebrate the beauty and mystery of xenomorphs.
I have previously featured Xenomorph's in my artworks, most notably my xenomorph lapel pin, embroidered patches, and art prints. I find them a good challenge to draw, being a lover of detailed artwork. I enjoy featuring non-traditional colours in my Xenomorph designs.
I discovered and began reading tarot for personal use in 2020. Creating this deck has been a wonderful experience in greater expanding my knowledge of each card and further exploring my personal take on tarot. This deck has been a true labor of love and has taken many many hours to develop.
Support This Project
Once all the cards have been completed, I will create a Kickstarter project to fund the deck. This will include the manufacture of all the tarot cards, their packaging, the booklet, shipping and handling, and the stretch goals (incense, alter cloth, custom pins, custom die-struck coins, tarot bag, stickers, prints). At this point of time, pre-orders and Kickstarter specials will be made available.
In the interim, if you would like to support my efforts to complete this tarot deck I am accepting tips via Paypal. This is not a requirement, and is not a transaction in return for any sort of product or service. Before tipping, please consider that your tips are non-refundable. Thank you so much for supporting my creativity & helping me complete this project.
As the cards are completed, I will share their designs here. They will be heavily watermarked to help reduce the risk of counterfeit prints and decks being created. The final artwork will not be watermarked.
